We had breakfast again in the Travelling Duke restaurant. After the busy last couple of days (and evenings) we decided that it was time for a rest day.
With our map of the grounds of Heythrop Park we explored and probably walked a lot further than we intended. Through the grounds and the golf course we came to the lakes. From there we followed the banks of the stream to the long drive of the hotel.
The rain came again as we walked up to reception for a rest and some lunch.
Our lunch was in the pub.
My roast beef sandwich was excellent. After we had eaten, we sat and took part in the afternoon quiz.
Our last evening meal was again in the Travelling Duke.
And it did not disappoint!
Rob Linacre- The Best of George Michael
The room was busier than the previous evenings. Our table was still at the front but on one side of the stage.
Rob Linacre sang George Michael songs both from when he was in WHAM! and when he was a solo artist.
After Rob’s show we stayed and watched the house band perform.
The evening’s entertainment was not over as in another room there a recording of a show of the comedian John Bishop. This was hilarious and what an unexpected extra piece of entertainment.
Another late night!

For our last breakfast we switched restaurants and went to the Brasserie32. This was in the old house. To get there we had to walk through a large part of the hotel, most of which we had never visited before.
The Brasserie was in a grand room with windows that overlooked the grounds.
The Eggs Benedict were delicious.
To sum up – this was by far the best break that we had had at a Warners. A combination of great service, excellent food and lots of entertainment coupled to its location in the Cotswolds.
