This is the evening when a judge has to pick the best images from all the earlier league competitions that have received a score of 10.
This evening I was away on our Baltic cruise and one of my colleagues at the camera club was kind enough to record the judges comments on my image.
Through the arch
Judge’s comments
… this is a viewpoint that is favourite of photographers… it is nicely framed, often you see the shot with the photographer further in to give a wider view, you’ve chosen to give us a bit more of the London brickwork which I quite like
… the paving stones could have been very dull indeed , a third of the print given over, but the fact that we’ve got the water and the reflections there helps a great deal
… if this were my shot I think I would be tempted to darken down that right bit of brickwork particlarly there as I think that would strengthen and take away its prominence
… lots of thought gone into that [image]
