Beverley Knight was playing at The London Palladium on Argyle Street as part of her Soulsville UK tour to celebrate her new album.
The Palladium is very handy for the London Five Guys burger restaurant.
We were lucky that in the early evening there was no queue at the restaurant unlike previous visit to London when there was a long queue despite the rain! The cheese burgers were excellent and we went for the ‘all in’ option. The sacks of potatoes in the restaurant hinted that the fries were all prepared in house. They were cooked in peanut oil and were excellent. I liked being able to have refills of my diet drinks.
As we had a little time before the doors opened I went looking for streetart around Carnaby Street. This is what I found.
It was my first time at The Palladium and I was pleasantly surprised at how much room I had for my legs and how comfortable the seats were – compared to a lot of London theatres. After the warm-up act the stage was cleared for Beverley Knight.
Beverley Knight started the show singing tracks from her new album – Soulsville.
That was the ‘end’ of the show and after we all clapped and cheered we had the ‘encore’.
And then we had numbers from The Bodyguard and into the finale after loosing the dressing gown!
And then the show was over !
