This week’s print competition was open and as per the last digital image competition I raided prints that I had made earlier. I now have a few weeks to refresh both my print stock and my digital image stock for the next league competitions.

My Turn Next
This image was shot using my Canon 350D in the back garden many years ago during a family BBQ. I was given advice in one of the informal photo critique sessions at the club about cropping and post processing this image.

Lovely portrait with the head positioned nicely. The photographer has cropped the head which is the ‘modern way’The subject has a great expression – is it querying?
Nice background, the object on the bottom left does detract from the image, is it a BBQ?

This image formed part of my first ever panel in the Clive Harrison Trophy last year and was rated the strongest image by the judge that evening.
