Christmas at Kew in 2023 did not disappoint. This was our second visit to Kew Gardens for the Christmas lights. Our first visit had been in 2021 after the harshest the Covid restrictions had been lifted.
This visit we took care to make the first turn into Kew Green and then on to the car park by the river. Luckily for us the rain earlier in the day had stopped. We arrived ten minutes or so before our allotted time of 5 pm.
Once through the entrance gate we had a short walk to the start of the trail.
To the original ‘Rockin’ Robin’ blasting out we passed these robins!
Lasers and mist over water…
The spectacular lasers and fountains in front of the greenhouse
As we walked around to be in front of the lake we had the laser/fountain show.
Hot Dogs
We stopped for hot dogs just after the one of the other gates.
The German sausage hot dogs were delicious. After our pause to eat we carried on around the trail.
Rows of candles …
We paused to watch the light show at the side of this tree lined path.
The rides and lots of food stalls
Rock and roll in the tree tops
The tree tops had lots of lights and lasers and very load metallic rock – truly spectacular …
Looking back
Now we were coming to end of the trail at at the entrance where we came into Kew Gardens.
We had taken over two hours to walk the trail.
