On Saturday 26th November 2022 I joined Brian Lloyd Duckett for a street photography workshop inspired by the work of Saul Leiter.
I had been on an earlier version of the workshop in March. My interest in the work of Saul Leiter had started after I bought a book of Saul Leiter’s images called ‘Forever Saul Leiter’.
The Leake Street tunnel had lots of new street art.
I walked back along York Street rather than go back via The Sidings.
The shops and cafes are all closed along the arcade but as yet no work has started on the buildings above.
Once back at Waterloo I caught the Underground to Piccadilly Circus and had plenty of time before the workshop started to do some exploring..
After my early arrival
The workshop began on Jermyn Street
After a talk and a coffee we left the coffee shop of the Central Cinema and head down to Jermyn Street.
Vigo Street
Towards the Bond Streets
On New Bond Street outside the expensive coffee shop…
I went back to the telephone boxes on New Bond Street where I had captured a “Saul Leiter” like back in March 2022.
Burlington Arcade
Now to find some stylish images in the arcade.
Oxford Street
Soho
Chinatown
The alley we all photograph at night.
The cooks, again we always stop outside!
Piccadilly Circus
And that was that. Piccadilly Circus was busy as I headed off to catch my tube train back to Waterloo.
