After leaving Waterloo and the Leake Street tunnel we caught the Underground to Westminster. The evening workshop with Steve Hedges started at a Starbucks by Westminster Bridge.

Down the steps we set up before the National Covid Memorial Wall to wait for sunset over the Houses of Parliament.
While we waited I went back to the archway with a view of the Elizabeth Tower and the bridge. It was very busy!
Sunset over the Palace of Westminster
This is why we all gathered on the Embankment…
We then waited for the Westminster Bridge to be lit.
The cranes were unfortunately highly visible. These images are merged images with different exposures.
We spent a lot of time trying trying different exposure combinations to try and capture the reflections of the green light as well as the street lights on the bridge.

The Embankment
Past the RAF Memorial we stopped opposite to the London Eye – time to practise some ICM. This was using my zoom lens. I wasn’t very happy with my efforts this evening.
Behind us this couple were concentrating on their phones.

While I waited for my train back to Farnborough I had a delicious burrito.
