Instagram has many features new and old. Over the weekend I discovered an option buried within Settings that tells Instagram to load images in the highest quality.
Settings are in the ‘hamburger’ option top left on your mobile app.
After selecting Settings – the top entry, look for the ‘Data usage and downloading’ option.
Then select ‘High Quality Uploads’
The data compression that Instagram performs on uploads is much better than what happens with other social media without this option turned on.
I plan to experiment with my images from today onwards (12th September 2023). Then check my data usage when doing any uploading on my mobile network.
