Our time Wales started via a call at Cotswold Lavender. This visit to the Mach Loop had been planned to coincide with our visit to RIAT for Saturday’s flying.
Day 1 Tuesday 12th July 2022: Cotswold Lavender
Our first stop on the way to Dinas Mawddwy was at Cotswold Lavender.
The wild flower plots were full of colour.
Since our last visit more lavender plots had been planted.
And there were lots of bees . . .
We called at the Broadway Tower Tower Café for a quick lunch. The parking here is just as expensive as always and just as difficult as the ticket machines only take coins!
The drive to Dinas Mawddwy was uneventful except the route took us past the famous Shelsley Walsh hill-climb.
Day 1 Tuesday 12th July 2022: The Red Lion in Dinas Mawddwy
I was moved to a different room at the back of the Red Lion – my ‘old’ room was being used by builders working on the roof. No complaints as it was great room.
The we sat outside in the beer garden at the back.
