We had visited Basildon Park in March and could see that there would be a lot of bluebells in the woods later. Now in April they were all in bloom. This year parts of the woods were closed off so we were limited to seeing the bluebells close to the paths.
At first we thought the wire along the path was electrified!
After a not so great lunch in the cafe we walked out to the gardens of Basildon Park house. This visit the statues were back in the gardens. Here’s a couple of images using my iPhone’s Portrait mode. One is just portrait mode and the other is the high key portrait mode.
In the field past the garden along with the bluebells was a large patch of cowslips.
Luckily for me the grass was dry as I had to lie down on the lawn for this image – much to the amusement of a group of kids walking by!
