Saturday 18th January was the first of the two day street photography workshop with Valérie Jardin. The group assembled outside one of the hotels that flanked the Pantheon. It was a crisp cold morning!
The cafes had blankets out ready for guests wanting to sit outside.
My collection of street art images from the day are gathered here in this blog.
As a group we walked past the Pantheon to the first place to take images.
Rue de Lanneau/Rue des Carmes
Here we stopped to take images of passers by.
Marche Maubert
Once at this small Saturday market we split up as a group and spent time people watching.
We were not the only group of ‘visitors’. I cross paths with this tour guide and his group. He was patiently explaining the workings of the market, what was on sale and where the produce came from.
I did ask this lady if I could take a picture of her.
Here is a selection of my other images.
We crossed the roads at the bottom of the market and headed off past the Metro station towards Notre Dame Cathedral.
Pont del’Archeveche
To reach this first bridge we walked down the Quai de la Tournelle. I did a bit of freelancing as we walked along the road.
Once on the bridge I stopped for a while to watch the other visitors.
