After our early start for our workshop with Mark Bauer we had a much later breakfast before setting off down the coast. For a change of scene we went along the coast to Beer in Devon.
Beer, Devon
We parked in a busy pay and display and headed off to the bay. We walked down the beach and headed off to the right towards the cliffs.
After our experiences yesterday we looked for leading lines and went close to the rocks on the beach for our shots.
We walked back around the bay to the shingle beach. Here the pebbles were so deep that ridges had been formed by the tides. Walkways were placed over the shingle to make walking easier. The walkways went through the fishing boats pulled up on the beach.
Lunch in Beer
At the top of the beach we went into the cafe and had a sandwich and chips washed down with a mug of tea. Excellent!
At the side of the cafe were some of the winches used to haul the boats out of the water.
After lunch we walked up the cliff path for our last views of Beer.
On the opposite side of the bay this row of houses reminded my of Stanley’s similar Victorian houses.
