This visit to London was to go to the South Bank to add more street photographs to my collection. To try and follow the style of a New York City photographer recommended on my Street Photography Zoom workshop. Arriving at Waterloo on a busy Saturday morning I went to have a look at the street art in the Leake Street tunnel – my first visit there since early May.
The Sidings were busy as I walked through. The good news was that more of the units were now occupied. Plus at the end of empty units before the escalators, a new Wetherspoons pub was promised in the large unit there.
On Leake Street, the tunnel is clearly now on the tourist map and this was just one of the groups there.
Model shoot
I walked to the end of the tunnel to get my bearings. Where the road turns up into the cul-de-sac I watched a photographer and a model.
Turning back I made way, stopping at the art as I went.
By the entrance there was another workshop for budding street artists all dressed in white disposable clothes.
From Leake Street, I crossed York Street and headed towards the plaza of the London Eye. The queues were much shorter than I had imagined they would be on a Saturday morning. Then I turned towards Tower Bridge and followed the South Bank for my photo walk.
